I’m strongly considering dropping Japanese after this year, and just switching Arabic to a double major with graphic design as a minor instead of having:
- my main major which is in the school of digital media
- a minor in Arabic language where the classes I’m taking for it won’t start counting until next year, but where if I had a major already they would be counting edit: I double checked and a major in Arabic still wouldn’t count the classes I took this year actually, so im not sure if both Arabic and Japanese would both take classes of my core
- a minor in Japanese language where the credits for it won’t start counting until after next year, and if I at least just finish this year I’ll have some base and I can get rid of two core classes
- a graphic design minor which I’m gonna keep ‘cause I only need about two classes I already wasn’t going to take

So, someone told me they were doing the Japanese studies and not Japanese language minor and after checking it out I think I’m just gonna do that, ‘cause it only needs one year of any level japanese and to take five classes about/related to japan and that’ll make my life easier especially if I go to Jordan next year ‘cause if I keep the Japanese language minor I’ll either come back in the spring and have to go into Japanese having skipped a quarter or wait until the year after and that’ll make it take an extra year to complete the minor and no

I changed my the Japanese language minor to Japanese studies and I feel like I can breathe so much better knowing that these classes I’m taking this year are going to count toward just something and that I have an actual idea on how long it will take me to finish the minor
